iPhone 3G[s]

Alright, let me explain what happened to it.

First up, it was jailbroken on 3.1.2.
Secondly, Apple stopped signing 3.1.2.
Thirdly, redsn0w.
Fourthly, my iPhone 3G[s] is week 42.
Oh, and fifthly, I have dial-up speeds.

Alright, let me explain.

Basically with the release of 3.1.3 I was eager to update, but I didn’t want to lose my update.
Now, I was on 3.1.2, and decided to turn my iPhone 3G[s] off, tethered jailbreak means loss of jailbreak.
So my iPhone was rendered useless, I booted up my MacBook Black and started redsn0w.
Followed the instructions through, but when I got to the screen for the choice of old bootrom or new bootrom, I actually selected old bootrom to try.
Wrong move.

What happened next killed my iPhone for two days.
It was stuck in a DFU loop and completely useless.
The fact that the only way to actually fix this was a proper restore with iTunes was a pain.
I downloaded the 3.1.2 ipsw thinking I could easily restore it. Wrong again.
With Apple stop signing 3.1.2 without me knowing, caused great frustration.

Basically I had to wait another painful 10 hours while iTunes slowly downloaded 3.1.3.
Now, my iPhone is at least working, without the jailbreak that is.

0rkus Client

My 0rkus Client Application is almost complete,
only thing I need to do now is implement the Activity Indicator to run when the UIWebView is loading the webpage.

Once the application is finished,
I will then start working on building an IRC Server,
then a webpage which is only available to connect via the application,
which will then allow the user to connect to the IRC Chat.

Basically the webpage will be a GUI for the IRC Chat.

More updates coming.
